Established in 1982, Robert S Boys is an independent firm of Chartered Accountants and business advisors. We offer a comprehensive range of accountancy and business advisory services to private individuals and companies in many sectors.
The Firm has grown steadily over the years in a fully computerised environment. The business merged with Michael L Byrne & Co in September 2007. The merged firm has considerable experience dealing with a variety of individuals, partnerships and Limited Companies.

DirectorRichard was articled with one of the larger firms of Chartered Accountants and had considerable experience in the audit of larger companies. Richard’s primary responsibility within the Practice is for audit but he also has considerable specialist knowledge of Sage and other computerised accounting packages. He is able to provide advice on IT and other computer issues for developing businesses. He also has an in depth knowledge of business and personal tax matters. He provides considerable expertise for the practice and clients with regard to VAT and technical issues.
Director Emma trained with the firm and qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant. Emma has a vast knowledge of Sage Accounting Systems and has been involved in numerous computer accounting installations for both new and established businesses. Emma has also been involved in audits of Private Limited Companies and in addition has a good knowledge of accounting and taxation for sole traders, partnerships and corporate entities.
Director Matt trained with the firm and qualified as a Chartered Accountant. Matt has been involved in all aspects of auditing, accounting and personal and business taxation. Matt has worked closely with expanding businesses offering considerable accounting support including the preparation of monthly and quarterly management accounts and cash flow forecasts. Matt also has an in depth knowledge of the various Sage Accounting Packages.
Tax Manager Stephen has worked in the tax profession for over 35 years, specialising in personal and unincorporated business taxes at top 10 and independent firms. He has considerable experience of managing a varied compliance portfolio as well as ad hoc advisory matters for a range of clients.
Payroll Manager Ron has a wealth of experience in the setup and processing of computerised payroll systems for companies large and small. He has an in-depth knowledge of Sage and other payroll packages. Ron has been involved in identifying training requirements and implementing controls to ensure payroll procedures are of a high standard of accuracy and efficiency. He is also able to advise on the requirements needed to ensure that employers and employees comply with current PAYE and National Insurance legislation.
ConsultantRobert founded the Practice in 1982 having previously been employed by a large international firm of Chartered Accountants. Robert previously was involved in large audits of both PLC’s and local government enterprises. Robert initially trained with a small accountancy practice specialising in small businesses and small business taxation.
